The Vision System is used for fully automatical measuring of pin spacings in miniature connectors.

  • The Vision System is used for fully automatical measuring of pin spacings in miniature connectors.
    The following measurements are checked by the VS:

    • Pin existence
    • Relative positions of pins (Distortion of single pins)aPosition of all pins in relation to a reference line (Overall distortion of pins)

    When the measuring is done, the connector is transported along the conveyor belt.
    If the connector failed the test, after a programmable delay a valve opens and the bad part is blown out.
    The camera pictures and light sources required for each step of the measuring process are defined within the software. 

    The algorithm to use for each image is selected and adjusted by the operator.
    The measuring itself is performed automatically on interruption of a light barrier. The result of the measuring is displayed on screen.
    The ZU-Vision System can be extended up to two cameras and two switchable light sources. The software setup can be performed entirely by trackball.
