Automatic Inspection and Colour Detection of test dishes

IEC 60350 is an international standard that specifies safety and performance requirements for household electric cooking appliances. The standard covers various types of appliances such as ovens, ranges, hobs, grills, and more. It addresses aspects such as electrical safety, temperature control, insulation, durability, and testing methods. The content of IEC 60350 focuses on ensuring the safe operation and reliable performance of these appliances while promoting user safety and product quality.

For performance measurement, the standard describes detailed test procedures and requirements for digital measuring systems.
Our FoodInspection System meets these requirements and peforms the required measurements.

Target Group:

The basic system has the following range of functions:

  • Off-color display according to classification for brown shades
  • Automatic test sequence for
    • heat distribution
      • Shortbread (chapter 9.2.1)
      • Small cakes (section 9.2.2)
    • Effective grilling surface - browning toast (chapter 11.5)
  • Evaluations with proven software platform ZU-Vision and the following features, among others
    • Open toolbox with a wide range (approx. 120 tools) of proven functions/tools for almost all industrial image processing requirements
    • New evaluations and processes can be created by users after training
  • Image recording function for reproducible documentation of objects/food
  • Calibration mode/ shading correction to create uniform lighting with guided user input using a spectral light meter supplied.
  • Data output .csv/ .xlsx (MS Excel license not included, must be activated by the customer)
  • Self-monitoring/ system test for cyclical test equipment monitoring
  • Language switching German/ English
  • Power supply 110...240V AC 50/60Hz, can therefore be used in most international power networks

Possible options/ retrofits:

  • Off-color display according to NCS classification for shades of green according to standard IEC 60350-1 Chapter 10 (steam cookers and combi steam cookers):
    • Steam supply/ Broccoli florets (Chapter 10.1)
    • Appliance capacity/peas (chapter 10.3) with the following deviation:
      The system cannot fulfill the requirement in 10.3.5.1 “The peas under the surface must also be checked.”
    • Proof prints required for calibration and system check
  • Documentation camera (system camera/ SLR) 24.1 MegaPixel 6000 x 4000 pixels with zoom lens
  • Automatic quick-opening for ambient light shielding
  • Implementation of additional measuring methods (e.g. extractor hoods). Additional electromechanical superstructures may be necessary for this. These can be connected to the system offered.
  • Remote update capability for changes to standards or test methods via TeamViewer connection (requires internet connection)
  • Maintenance contracts/ manufacturer calibration possible
  • UL conformity instead of CE for international markets/locations
