With three cameras and several switchable lightings the vision system tests and measures high frequency connectors and plugs.
Up to 8 different pieces can be measured by the system.
The high frequency connectors are presented to the inspection system in work piece holders on an indexing rotary table.
The three cameras inspect the work piece from three different sides with a separate lighting for each camera.
Camera 1 takes three different pictures with various illuminations.
Following characteristics are tested:
- coaxial alignment of the connector pin
- scratches on the connector surface b torsion of the mid-connection
- bending of the middle pin (90°)
- any boring or soiling in the interface area
After the measuring is finished, the appropriate IO/NIO signal is forwarded to the machine control.
