The vision system in this application is used for the inspection of oil filter lids, which are assembled from two different components.
The System is used by the customers as a stand-alone test station or as well as for mounting to a rotary table as an inline system.
The system inspects the assembly status of the lids on the following features using three cameras with the help of different types of lighting (two LED backlights and two diffuse LED lighting units):
- Thread diameter of the test center bore
- Presence of the insertion rubber gasket
- Examination of the retaining tabs on the presence and full deflection
- Completeness of Edge sealing
- Measurement of thread pitch of the female thread
