The vision system is used for inspection of pressure compensation units in motor vehicle control systems.
In a flexible manufacturing module the pressure compensation units are tested regarding their existence, deformation, scratches and pro-trusion of sealing compounds. Due to the high reflection of the pressure compensation unit, a special scatter-ed lighting is in use.
The system consists of a vision system computer ZU-Vision including a monitor, a camera/lighting unit and a mechanical construction to be integrated in a manufacturing module.
A software package for measurement of rotational symmetrical components is used for the inspection. The system is navigated by a keyboard or a trackball respectively. The communication with the manufacturing module and the selection of the test program happen through a potential-free bit I/O PLC interface.
