The inspection system uses 2 cameras and 2 light sources to check up to 2 x 96 nests on work piece holders in an assembly line for existence of components and full moulding if applicable.

The inspection system uses 2 cameras and 2 light sources to check up to 2 x 96 nests on work piece holders in an assembly line for existence of components and full moulding if applicable.

Every camera is fitted with an indirect diffuse custom light source.
The components are placed on the workpiece holder. After the workpiece holder has entered the inspection system, the test runs automatically with 2 cameras within 0,6 seconds. To speed up the process only a part of the nests is spot-checked.
Two different test programs can be called in by the machine via PLC interface.

The user configures the test methods of the single cameras. During the test process the camera pictures are analysed one after another with the assigned light source. For control reasons the test result is displayed on screen. The setting of the parameters of the single measuring positions is carried out with a trackball.
