In mechanical engineering, flexible mechanical engineering solutions are increasingly in demand. Agile measurement and inspection technology that can perform quality assurance tasks smartly and reliably must be adaptable and able to keep pace with requirements. For Ziemann & Urban, it is important to maintain a balance between the mega and micro trends that exist in machine vision, but which are also needed by the customer in the application.
For example, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning is a mega-trend, while 3D image processing and embedded vision is a micro-trend. We deal with all of these, but first and foremost it is about ensuring the quality of the products, precisely because measurement and testing technology is the last instance before the goods go to the customer.
It is not what is measurable that counts, but rather the required measurement technology, which is decisive for the machine manufacturer or machine operator as to which system has to be integrated.
